Steven Robert Jackson went to be with the Lord on July 8, 2017, following a courageous three-year battle with brain cancer.
A private celebration of life will be held in the fall.
He was born on February 17, 1957 in Sacramento to Harry and Lorna Jackson. He grew up in Burbank and graduated from Westmont College in Santa Barbara in 1979. He spent most of his career working in information technology, retiring from 20 years with the Sacramento Police Department in 2015. He loved cycling, running and doing anything outdoors with his family.
Steven is survived by his wife, Mary Jackson; son, Trevor (Taylor) Jackson; daughter, Tyra Jackson; mother, Lorna (Bill) Parrish; sisters, Linda (Jerry) Waechter and Kerry Lara and many other loving family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Jackson.
In honor of Steve, donations can be made to the Sacramento Police Department K-9 Unit.
Arrangements are under the care of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
