Bobby Petrucco, BHS '60 (1942-2021)

Robert Peter Petrucco
August 27, 1942 – November 13, 2021

Robert Peter Petrucco was born in New York on August 27, 1942. He lived in Burbank from the time he was 3 years old till he passed away in November.

Robert “Bobby”, was a beloved son, the most wonderful brother, uncle, nephew & friend and will be greatly missed by so many. He is a graduate of Burbank High School (Go BHS Bulldogs!) & a College Graduate of UCLA. He served in the Army before beginning his career as a Librarian. He spent his career as a Librarian at the Burbank Public Library for the past 30 years. If you ever went into the Central Library on Glenoaks/Orange Grove and visited the Reference desk, you were sure to find him there for help. He was the ultimate “google” before there was “Google”. His colleagues described him as the “Gentle heart and soul of Reference”

He had a love for Hunting / Fishing, Bow ties, boleros & was an avid reader with a huge thirst for knowledge. He was a big fan of Formula 1 Racing, family gatherings w/ wine & a good Italian meal or a BBQ out at our Uncles desert house. He loved taking road trips! Talk about an eclectic taste & collection of music!

He passed away peacefully on November 13, 2021, and has left a tremendous hole in our hearts, and is survived by his sister Dolores “Dole” Haramia & his niece Pilar Hemry.

A Rosary will be held for him on Thursday, January 13th at 4:00 pm at Valley Funeral Home; 2121 W. Burbank Blvd., Burbank CA 91506. His Memorial Mass will be held at St. Finbar Catholic Church; 2010 W. Olive Ave., Burbank CA 91506 on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers if you’d like to donate, please see www.Parkinsons.org , or the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
