We just received this very sad note from Michael Nugent, BHS '64...
With much sadness I want 2 let other Alumni and friends that Margie Nugent, class of '71 passed away July 29 after suffering 9 yrs battling Alzheimer's.
Margie was a popular classmate, Major of the Drill Team, Prom Queen among other social activities. Following graduation she had a very successful real estate career in the SFV and Orange County.
She is survived by myself, our brother Bob, 1 nephew Robert, and 3 nieces, Nicole, Vivian, and Tami.
The arrangements R as follows: Sat Aug 17, 10am @ Forest Lawn, 69855 Ramon Rd, Cathedral City 92234.
In lieu of flowers if U can make a donation 2 your local Alzheimer's Association. Or the facility where spent her last 8 yrs. Silverado 30311 Camino Capistrano, San Juan Capistrano 92675. Attention Sheila, associate Holiday fund

I am so sorry to hear this. We were best friends in elementary school at Horace Mann. We were always at each other’s house. Her loss to this disease after losing her Mom also to this same disease is heartbreaking. My prayers go out to her two brothers and family members 💔

So sorry to see this. She was such a beautiful woman and to be taken by Alzheimer’s at such a young age is so unfair. I had carehomes for over 20 years and saw what Alzheimer’s can do. Margie is at peace now. Wishing her family the best.
