Lynne Marie Seaborg Owomoyela, BHS ‘62, passed away May 15, 2014, after a long, courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Lynne grew up in Burbank, then lived in Lagos, Nigeria and Lincoln, Neb, where she graduated from the University of Nebraska before settling in Las Vegas, NV. Known as “Ms. O" by her students, she taught English and ESL for over 30 years at Valley High School and Orr Middle School. Lynne was beloved by family and friends for her generous heart and fabulous sense of humor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Ethel Seaborg; and son, Steven. She is survived by her son, David Ollison, sister, Judy Parker, and niece, Francesca Parker. Brother Dave Seaborg, BHS ’65, passed away from pancreatic cancer 18 months after Lynne.
