Doug Collard passed away Oct. 28, 2021 at the age of 75. He had suffered from Parkinson's Disease & Lewy Body Dementia for the past 3+ yrs. He passed with his family and an angel of a care giver, Craig, around him.

Doug came to the United States at the age of 5 with his family from Canada and settled in Burbank, CA. He graduated from Burbank High School in 1964 and joined the U.S. Marines in Aug. 1965. 2. Dear Cindy, sorry to hear about your loss. Doug and I went all the way back to 2nd grade. We grew up together on Beachwood Street, probably the closest thing to perfection for young kids in grade school. A Dead End Street with a dirt lot, a reservoir water ditch, and a railroad track, what more could you want at 8 years old. We challenged each other to see who could whistle the loudest and sat on the curb to figured out how we were going to become millionaires. Given all the chaos that was around us all the time we both seem to stay pretty level-headed and grounded with a healthy fascination for the future. As time went by we went our separate ways but Doug was always in my heart and mind because he was one of the first true friends in my life. He will be missed but never forgotten. All our love to you and your family. -Pete & Laney
