Yesterday we a very hard day as heaven gained a new angel. I love my Dad, Scott Schweitzer so much! He was a great man! He was always cracking jokes, expressing his love, and doing anything he could to help someone out. He took us camping, snowboarding, wakeboarding, many beach trips, and so much more to make sure we loved the outdoors as much as he did. I can't listen to Bob Marley without thinking of our drives to Ventura and finding our secluded spot on the beach. He always looked at the bright side of things- with a motto "it could be worse." I already miss him😭🙏 I love you Dad🙏❤️. Hope you're eating great meals and running around like crazy now🫶🥹

Class of ‘72 lost another Classmate Phil Johnson wrote to inform us all that Ardona - Artie Van Winkle passed. He was lucky to talk to him last month. They had Boy Scouts and church together and had kept in touch over all these years. Artie had back problems and some other health issues. It’s never easy to lose a friend. Our condolences to Artie’s family and all his friends from over the years.
So very sorry to report the loss of BHS 65 Classmate, Doug Mattox. Please see copy of the post I received below from his daughter-in-law, Deena Mattox. Doug was married to his wife, Irene, since 1/31/1970. They had 3 sons and 5 grandsons.
"Surrounded by love, Doug Mattox passed peacefully on March 1st after ongoing health struggles. While our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing he is no longer in pain. We will forever cherish the memories, the laughter, and the light he brought into our lives. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers during this time."
