Katie and her husband and most of Katie's family, had recently all relocated to Tennessee.

This is a message one of Katie's daughters posted on FB this morning...

"This is Michelle Mahaffy, Katie’s daughter. It is with a heavy heart that we have to inform you our sweet and feisty mom passed away this morning from complications from hip replacement surgery. We are all in shock and Disbelief. She loved her Facebook friends so much and arguing politics❤️ please pray for our family at this time and especially her amazing husband Alan Hightower … he has been by her side through good and bad for the past 32 years! Last thought…. My mom is going to be so pissed off she didn’t get to vote for Trump ❤️..."

We all loved Katie and she was a bright spot in so many of our lives...Bon Voyage, Sweet Friend...

Love, Pam and Jon

Many fond memories of water polo and hangin out with Tim. We had lots of adventures and lots of laughs. I spoke to Tim on the phone a couple months ago and we had a long catch up talking about the old days and fishing. So grateful that I was able to talk to him after so many years. He had a rough life, and many health issues. Rest easy buddy .
