Peggy Lee Sutton Jackson

September 27, 1945 - March 28, 2024

Peggy Sutton Jackson BHS’63 went home to her Lord early this morning in Kingman, Arizona, surrounded by her loving family. 

 

Peggy was born on September 27, 1945, to Rosalie Griswold Sutton and Thomas Ross Sutton in Burbank, California. Though she moved a lot in her younger years, by the time she was ready to go to high school, she and her brother, Jerry Ross Sutton BHS ’62, were living in Burbank and attended Burbank High for all three years where she loved singing in Mr. Hall’s chorus and having a role in MUSIC MAN. 

 

The best thing that happened to her in high school was meeting one of her brother’s very good friends, Merrill Jay Jackson BHS ’62. They began dating the end of her junior year and were married a little more than a year after she graduated from high school, on October 16, 1964. This October would have been the 60th wedding anniversary of their very successful life together. 

 

Peggy and Merrill raised two fine boys, Jay and Andy. Sadly, Andy died in a motorcycle accident in 2001. Jay blessed his mother with three grandchildren, Heather and Kayla Rose, the girls she always longed to have, and Eddie her handsome grandson. 

 

Peggy was always kind, generous and loving and she will be missed by her family and all who knew her.

Linda Borg Plue, BHS '60 (1942-1997)

Linda Marie Borg was born September 8, 1942, to parents Laverne and Ivy Johnson Borg. She and her two younger brothers, Jim and John attended Burbank High School in Burbank California, Linda graduated in 1960 and this is her senior photo from the yearbook.

After Linda's divorce from David Richardson in 1970, she married Ralph Plue in 1971 in Los Angeles. 

It was August 15, 1987, when Linda Marie Borg Plue passed away in Los Angeles at the young age of 44 years.

Oh this is so shocking and very sad! I knew Ron from Miller elementary school and we reconnected a few years ago on Facebook. I send my deepest condolances to all his family...

On March 22, 2024, Ron's son posted this note and photo...

 

At 10:05 Hawaii Standard Time my dad, Ron Hagg passed away. It was very unexpected. Dad did not suffer and went peacefully with my big sister by his side. I always loved this picture of him hitchhiking to San Francisco. Young and Free!! Well, I hope you have a safe journey. Dad. Your young and free again.. Thanks for everything you gave, and taught us all.

I am sad to hear this. Ron's parents and my parents were very close friends and that is why Ron and I were friends. It hits close to home when a fellow Bulldog and good friend gets called home. See you in Heaven Ron when God calls me home. What a reunion it will be when we are all together in Heaven with our parents!

Jeanne Bopp was born January 19, 1945 in Burbank to parents Eugene and Doris Erichson Bopp with her younger siblings: Don (deceased) BHS '65, Tom BHS '67, Richard and Dianne. 

She married Roger Myers in 1964. 

Jeanne passed away May 8, 2003, in Sunland, California.

Sharon Wernsing Prichard, BHS '66 (1948-2009)

 

Sharon Lee Wernsing Prichard was born on November 7, 1948 to parents Edward and Elsie Wernsing. She and her siblings, Sandra, BHS '63, Neil, BHS '65 and Alan, BHS '71 lived in Burbank, California and went to Burbank High. Sharon graduated in 1966.

 

In 1975, Sharon married Guy Prichard and they lived in Canyon Country, California. On May 31, 2009, Sharon died at 60 years of age.
