Caroline Ziegler Swaisgood BHS’60 (1942-2023)
Oh very sad... we just received this notice from Diana Ziegler Larsen, BHS class of '67...
My sister Caroline, BHS class of '60 died this morning of Altzheimers. Born 11-08-42, died 7-19-23 in Gig Harbor, WA.
Caroline was the oldest of three growing up in Burbank and the other sister is Jean Ziegler Cawood, class of '62.
Our heart goes out to the family.

Peggy Alfred Lambly, BHS '53 (1934-2022)

Peggy was born December 19,1934 and passed away February 2, 2022 in Thousand Oaks, California, at the age of 87 after a seven year battle with Cancer. Peggy handled her treatment with a strong and positive outlook and a smile on her face. She always showed great compassion and friendship to those whose paths she crossed.
Peggy was born at Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital in Hollywood, CA. Peggy grew up in Burbank, with her parents Walter and Margaret Alfred and her four siblings Sally (JBHS '50), Bobby (BHS '57), Jane (BHS '61) and Betty (BHS '63). Peggy loved her high school years. She loved sharing her fond memories of her time at Burbank High with all her great friends. She also attended Bret Harte, and Luther Burbank Junior High.
Peggy married William Lambly, they had two daughters, Kathy and Kelly. One of Peggy's first jobs was a hostess at Bob's Big Boy in Toluca Lake. In 1964, Peggy and her family moved to Thousand Oaks. Some of Peggy's siblings and their families were soon to follow.
Peggy worked in retail for many years and retired after 20+ years in management with the Kmart Corporation. Peggy was a California girl at heart. She was a native Californian and proud of it. She loved traveling around California in her motorhome. She was also a diehard Dodgers and Angles fan. She enjoyed watching golf tournaments and dog shows. She was a woman of fashion, with perfect matching outfits, shoes, nails and lipstick. Peggy's grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy, as well as her many dogs over the years.
Peggy is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law- Kathy and Dean Maurice, Kelly Lambly; grandchildren- Jennifer and Travis, Jamie and Bryan, Brandon and Stephanie; great grandchildren- Jaxon, Dylan, Hallie. Peggy was also survived by her siblings- Sally Palmer, Bobby and Dianne Alfred, Jane Roach and Betty Vaccaro (6/1945-5/2023), and her many cherished nieces and nephews. Dog- Murphy. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Julie.
Peggy had an immeasurable amount of kindness and generosity that touched all who were fortunate to know her. She was one special lady that will be deeply missed.
In Peggy's memory 100 trees were planted in the Sequoia and Sierra National Forests for restoration in the Wild Fire Tree Recovery Program.
