Jim Weaver (BHS '71) Passed Away April 2011
Got word this morning from Randy Ivey via Alan Landros that Jim Weaver died about two weeks ago from colon cancer. That's all we know at this time.
May the Lord give peace and comfort to the family I pray.
SEPTEMBER 20, 2011 UPDATE
Found this today...
James L. Weaver
BORN: March 28, 1952
DIED: April 20, 2011
RESIDENCE: Lebanon, OR
I met Jim (Grubby) sometime in the early 1970's. We worked together at PSA. He was a real character, (and I mean that in a respectful way). He was always there to help someone out. Use to take him along to the Caribbean to go sailing and was always the first to volunteer for the grunt work.Sorry to hear of his passing and he will be missed by many many former airline workers and friends

Meant Jim in 1982 and he lived with Herb and I until about 1994. He was a joy and fun to hang around with, he will be missed.

I'm sad to hear about Jim's passing; and also sad that we lost contact so many years ago. Some of you may know that I was trying to track him down to reconnect - it's a blow to find out that he's gone before I did. Jim and I started Emerson together. I remember I had my name pulled out of a hat to appear on the Popeye show (I think it was channel 9) and he came with me (that was probably my 15 minutes of fame!), we were close at Emerson and also later at John Muir. I moved to Australia in October 1968 and I lost contact with Jim and everyone else from school. My memories of Jim are from our childhood. I remember him fondly and always will.
