2017 CRUISE IS OPEN TO ANYONE!

September 28, 2015 UPDATE

The class of '67 will be celebrating our 50th reunion in 2017 and is planning a fun filled cruise. Although we had previously voted on which cruise we wanted there was also an interest in an Alaskan cruise. Pricing was not available at the time for Alaska when we voted on the others so the Cruise Committee has decided to wait until pricing is available which should be soon. The three choices at the time of voting will be California Coastal, Alaska and Mexico. In the mean time - start saving your money. If you have any questions that you would like to ask the Cruise Committee and do not want to put it on Facebook you can send all correspondence to bhscruise@gmail.com. If you had previously voiced your interest through FB or at our last reunion you will be hearing from us through the above e-mail to ensure we have your correct contact information.

Your Cruise Committee,
Carol and Donna

It is with a heavy heart that I share Hailey's message about her Mom, Lynnell Henderson.
Having grown up across the street from the Henderson's, I find myself overcome with nothing but great memories of Lynnell and her family.
Having gone to Providencia, Luther, and Burbank High, Lynnell epitomizes what being a Burbanker is all about.
Rest in peace, dear Lynnell, and God's speed to the Henderson family.

Gail Hahn Crawford, BHS '72, Passed Away April 2015

Posted on Facebook in April 2015 from Gail's husband Robert Crawford.

Today April 2015 has been a sad day for me, my family and friends. My wife of almost 25 years, Gail Hahn, mother of four, grandmother of 1 and friend to countless others lost her battle with cancer. Her heart was large and her love was endless. We will miss her love and laughter most of all. She is in God's hands now, feeling His love, and surely looking down on us. We will endeavor to live up to the expectations, hopes and dreams she had for us.

A great man. Mr. Bertrand was my P.E. coach at John Muir Jr. High. I was also very fortunate to have him as both a friend and mentor for several years. At my BHS, class of 1964 50th reunion, we were indeed blessed to have Mr. Bertrand attend. Mr. William H. Bertrand proudly served his country and gave unselfishly to his community. My sincere sympathy to Mrs. Bertrand and family. Rest in peace, Mr. Bertrand. God bless you and your family.

CLOVENNE T. "TONI" CANNON
December 1923 ~ July 27, 2015
Mrs. Toni Cannon passed away this past Monday, July 27, 2015, at age 91.  She had suffered a broken hip a few months ago, followed by complications.  She passed away in Montrose under hospice care at a medical facility.
Mrs. Cannon taught at Burbank High School for 30 years from 1960 until her retirement in 1990.  Before teaching at BHS she taught at John Muir Junior High in Burbank for four years in the late 1950's.  At BHS she taught psychology, government, senior studies, senior seminar, and for four years she headed the BHS Career Center.  Several times over her years at BHS she was voted "favorite teacher" by the student body, and had Ceralbus yearbooks dedicated to her.  Mrs. Cannon attended the BHS '70 class reunions in 1990 and 2010.  She lived a very active life during her retirement years.
Mrs. Cannon had lived in La Crescenta for decades, and remained in her own home until just the past few months when her health began to decline.  She is survived by her daughter, Holly Cannon.  A memorial gathering will be held in her honor later on.

Mrs. Cannon was my senior seminar teacher and directed me to do great works for my project. She also taught a group of us how to do 1040Ez taxes (which at 17, seemed an impossible task). She taught me not to fear government and that I was a part of it and to stay involved. She was a great teacher!
