James Robert "Jim" McCauley '63 passed away in Los Angeles on April 23, 2017. He was the oldest of the ten McCauley siblings, five boys and five girls. All of the boys inherited a kidney disease from their mother, and most of them had at least one kidney transplant. Now the four oldest brothers have all passed away, only the youngest brother survives, along with the five sisters surviving. Their mother passed away many years ago due to cancer, but their father, Jim McCauley, Sr., now 95, and his second wife live in Thousand Oaks. (Jim McCauley, Sr. is a retired FBI Special Agent.)
The McCauley family lived in Burbank in the 1950's and 1960's at the corner of Richard St. and Eton Dr. In 1966 they moved to Granada Hills, where the younger seven graduated from high school. The three oldest brothers graduated from BHS, Jim in '63, Tim in '64, and Tyler in '65. The fourth brother, Paul, would have graduated with the '67 class if they hadn't moved to Granada Hills.
Tim passed away first. Paul passed away on June 26, 2010. Tyler passed in 2013. Now Jim has passed away in 2017. James Robert McCauley was a graduate of UCLA, and was a Paulist Father.
